CIP Proof Mark, what is this?
CIP Proofing is the proof against a certain pressure inside the barrel. These markings are mandatory in certain countries like; Belgium, Chile, Germany, Finland, France, Great Britain, Italy, Austria, Russia, Slowakia,Spain, Czech Republic, Hungary and the Emirates       
   
 

The IGB Field/Groove Profile Design:
This is the traditional barrel rifling style, featuring sharp, raised lands (the high points) and recessed grooves (the low points). It looks like a series of ridges and trenches running down the bore, forcing the bullet to spin as it travels through the barrel.

Vorteile:

  • Very accurate, especially with lead bullets, as the lands provide a firm grip

  • Considered more forgiving across a wider variety of ammunition types

  • Better suited for lead bullets – the grooves safely accommodate lead buildup

  • Highly versatile – works reliably with both lead and jacketed bullets

  • A widely used and well-understood system, proven across decades of firearm design.
