The IGB Polygon Profil Design:
The internal barrel profile does not have sharp edges (lands/grooves), but instead features smooth, rounded transitions. These gentle curves slightly deform the bullet and create a better gas seal, which results in increased muzzle velocity

Advantages:
- Often delivers higher muzzle velocities (5–15% more, depending on the load)
- Can be more accurate with jacketed bullets due to more consistent bore contact and reduced deformation
- Glock shooters often praise the accuracy of polygonal barrels, especially with calibers like .357 SIG or 10mm.Less lead fouling, since there are no sharp edges where lead can build up.
- Easier to clean thanks to the smoother profile
- Longer barrel life, as there are no sharp edges to wear down
