Do you also offer barrels for my Glock?
Yes! We offer barrels for every model and generation. If you can't find yours on the website or are unsure about it, do not hesitate to contact us for further information.
Is there a difference in cartridge chambers?
The IGB cartridge chamber is a bit tigther than the standard one and supports the ammo more, while still feeding. Especially in bigger calibers like 10MM Auto and .45 acp, IGB chambers are designed to optimise support and feeding as well as to prevent cartridges from deforming and showing the "Glock Smile".
Caliberchange, how to?
IGB Caliberchange barrels do not require any changes to your gun.You may only change the magazine to a magazine fitting the caliber for feeding. Eg.: If you switch from 40 S&W to .357 Sig, no magazine change is required. If you switch from 40 S&W to 9x19, you'll need a 9x19 magazine for proper feeding and storing of the ammunition.
When in doubt, you can also order a magazine fitting your order from us at IGB Austria.
Sometimes, when switching from a stronger caliber to a weaker one, like .357 Sig to 9x19, it is advised to replace the OEM recoilspring with an IGB one, which you can find in accessories or by

How do I know my Glock Generation?
The Generation is usually written on the slide, ie. Gen4, Gen5. If you got no marking, it is usually within the category Gen. 2-3. If you are unsure about it, please contact us for help.
Why should I flute my barrel?
Fluting a barrel grants you two advantages. The first one is a slightly reduced weight to the barrel and therefore to the whole pistol. The second one is the increase of surface to the barrel, which makes the barrel cool off faster. This can help accuraccy in fast fire situations and enhances the lifespan of your IGB-barrel.
PVD-Coating, what does it do?
PVD coating (Physical Vapour Deposition) is a coating which provides a thin layer on top of your barrel to increase its hardness even more. Another advantage to this technology is the reduced friction between slide and barrel, which increases the lifespan of the barrel even more. A side-effect to these coatings is the color of the barrel. Depending on the coating it can be black, silver, gold, bronze or even a blueish-green.
