CIP Proof Mark, what is this?
CIP Proofing is the proof against a certain pressure inside the barrel. These markings are mandatory in certain countries like; Belgium, Chile, Germany, Finland, France, Great Britain, Italy, Austria, Russia, Slowakia,Spain, Czech Republic, Hungary and the Emirates       
 

The IGB Polygon Profil Design:
The internal barrel profile does not have sharp edges (lands/grooves), but instead features smooth, rounded transitions. These gentle curves slightly deform the bullet and create a better gas seal, which results in increased muzzle velocity

Advantages:

  • Often delivers higher muzzle velocities (5–15% more, depending on the load)
  • Can be more accurate with jacketed bullets due to more consistent bore contact and reduced deformation
  • Glock shooters often praise the accuracy of polygonal barrels, especially with calibers like .357 SIG or 10mm.Less lead fouling, since there are no sharp edges where lead can build up.
  • Easier to clean thanks to the smoother profile
  • Longer barrel life, as there are no sharp edges to wear down
